August 23rd Recreational "Seeding" Tournaments

All recreational teams will participate in the seeding tournament which will be used to assist the league on placing teams in appropriate divisions.  All the details will be discussed with coaches at the ARYSL League meeting in August .

In essence, the seeding tournament is used to allow the teams who have been placed together in divisions (usually by age) to play a round robin set of short games to better gauge whether any team is ranked too high or low. Feedback is provided back to the league and club officials so teams can be reshuffled to best match similar skilled teams during the first half (5 games) of the season.  These games are NOT the only factor considering when teams are reshuffled.  Other factors may include the team's prior record, prior division placement, or even the balance of teams in each division.  Half way through the season, teams will be reshuffled again as needed based on the first half game results.
